What to Expect During Spark Aligner Treatment
Step 1
Consultation:
The first step in your clear aligner journey is a consultation with our Spring, TX orthodontist, Dr. David White. During this visit, we’ll take diagnostic records and Dr. White will perform an exam. He’ll chat with you about your lifestyle and goals before walking you through his diagnosis. If he determines Spark Aligners are right for you, he’ll fill you in on what to expect and answer any questions you have. Finally, a team member will go over the cost of Spark Aligners, your insurance, and our payment options.
Step 2
Digital Scans and Smile Design:
We’ll take fast, comfortable digital scans of your teeth and gums – no messy, uncomfortable impressions required! The scans will create a digital 3D model of your mouth right on our screen. Dr. White will use the model to map out your tooth movements. He’ll even show you a preview of your results before you start treatment.
Step 3
Custom Aligners:
The Ormco lab will create your custom aligners based on Dr. White’s treatment plan. When they’re ready, you’ll start wearing them for 20 to 22 hours per day, only taking them out to eat, drink, brush and floss your teeth, and wear a mouth guard while playing sports. You’ll switch to the next set of aligners in the series every one to two weeks, depending on your treatment plan.
Step 4
Check-ups:
You’ll visit our office for a quick and easy checkup about every eight to 12 weeks. Dr. White will keep tabs on your progress and ensure your treatment is going smoothly.
Step 5
Your New Smile:
When you take out your final set of aligners, you’ll be the proud owner of a beautiful, healthy smile. Dr. White will scan your teeth and provide you with custom retainers so your results will last a lifetime.
