Getting dental treatment can sometimes be a scary event for a child. Fear of the unknown often leads children to be uncooperative. At Pediatric Dental Specialists and Orthodontics, we have found that trained dogs can provide comfort and a needed distraction to children during their appointments. We have one hypoallergenic Goldendoodle, Coco, and have a second on the way, Polly. Coco has already helped so many children have a great experience and leads them to be excited about coming back. We can’t wait to introduce you to our two sweet puppies.
Here at Pediatric Dental Specialist and Orthodontics, we stress the
importance of patients showing gratitude to their parents. In the orthodontics department, patients don’t get braces on and they don’t get them off until they
have had the opportunity to demonstrate gratitude to
their parents with a hug and some act of service. We have found that having an “attitude of gratitude” is one of the keys to happiness in life."
Our beautiful state of the “art” (pun intended) office has a very warm and inviting feel. The national parks theme is highlighted by numerous large canvas prints of some of the most beautiful places in our country. Here are some things our patients have said:
“I can’t believe you have an actual diaper-changing table! I never trust the ones that hang on the wall”
“My kids just love the beautiful aquarium, and it keeps them occupied while I check out!”
“The Mount BRUSHmore mural is just too cute”
“Having the TV mounted on the ceiling overhead really helped my child be more comfortable for the procedure”
“The office is so spacious and easy to navigate with my stroller!”
“The most beautiful and clean dental office I have ever seen”
“Your restrooms are awesome, way better than Buckee’s!” (Sorry, we do not have any beaver nuggets)
